Lalessa is a naturally processed Ethiopian specialty coffee from the highlands of Gedeb, Ethiopia, an area known for producing some of the world’s most distinctive coffees.
Produced at the Lalesa washing station by Ephtah Specialty Coffee, this coffee is sourced from hundreds of local farmers who work together to create high-quality coffees while strengthening the local community. During harvest, the station employs seasonal workers and focuses on building sustainable relationships throughout the coffee supply chain.
Only carefully selected ripe cherries are used for this natural process coffee. The cherries are dried slowly on raised beds for 12–15 days, allowing the coffee to develop its natural sweetness and complexity.
In the cup, Lalessa offers a soft body with elegant stone fruit flavours and a smooth milk chocolate finish. A balanced and approachable Ethiopian coffee with the complexity and character that makes this origin so unique.
As part of our Seasonal Selection, we regularly showcase coffees from Ethiopia, allowing each harvest to express its own character.
