Gichathaini - Kenya -
This coffee grows between Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, just east of the Great Rift Valley. The region is renowned for its rich volcanic soils and pleasant climate. Combined with abundant rainfall, these conditions create the perfect environment for cultivating coffee.
The coffee is grown organically and handpicked, allowing only the perfectly ripe cherries to be selected. This lot comes from the first harvest of the season and is a collection of cherries from smallholder farmers, each cultivating no more than one hectare of coffee (alongside other crops).
The cherries are processed at the Gichathaini wet mill.
The result is a refreshing, classic Kenyan coffee—bright and clean on filter, with notes of peach, honey, and citrus.
We recommend this as a filter coffee.
